| Tallahassee is a town known for two things: state government and college football. With such a diverse range of clientele, caterers in Florida's capital can be a trying and difficult experience. Yet one local business is utilizing a local marketing program and some wire chafing stands to keep food hot and keep their customers coming back. TasteBudz Catering company is the first participant of a program cosponsored by Tallahassee Democrat and the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce called the "10 in 2010," which seeks to support community organizations and small businesses with marketing help from local companies. The company's owner, Judy Langston, met with marketing specialists to discuss expanding her company's presence online through outlets like Facebook and blogging, revamping the organizations order taking process and internal communication. One way to improve a catering business is through the use of wire chafing stands, which provide industry professionals with a cheap and affective way to keep food hot while delivering quality dishes. "What we have provided her is a clear road map for business marketing efforts for 2010," said Terrie Ard, a vice president with Moore Marketing tells the Tallahassee Democrat. ![]() |
